TALKING TO MEMBERS OF PRESS, FACEBOOK, IOWA PREPS AND TWITTER EXT.

Guidelines for Talking with the Press/ Facebook/ Twitter/:

1.   Do not criticize your teammates or coaches.

2.   Be confident, but not boastful.

3.   Whenever YOU RECEIVE RECOGNITION, SOMEONE ELSE

      GAVE YOU THEOPPORTUNITY!

4.    Never pass up an opportunity to praise your teammates or

       opponents.

5.     Do not take your complaints to the newspaper or a website.

6.     Do not say anything about what we do as far as technical

        football.

7.     Do not say anything that would help motivate our opponents or

end up on their bulletin board.

8.     Be kind and courteous to writers.

9.     When talking to the press, remember you not only represent

yourself, but also your team, family and the entire School

        District.

We do not control publicity nor can we determine who they will write about, whose picture is in the paper, etc.  We never knew a player who received more publicity than he deserved, but we have known many that did not get what they deserved.

We do know this: I fwe win we will get much more publicity and gain more honors.
